Chest drainage units are an assembly of medical devices which are used to remove air and/or fluid from pleural cavity and to keep intrapleural pressure in physiological range after surgical operations during which the pleura integrity was violated. Chest drainage sets are also used in cases of pleura injury and pneumothorax of any other origin.
